Chelsea Hudson Photography
This fall I had the pleasure of working with my sister-in-law, Chelsea Hudson, to create a new logo for her photography business—Chelsea Hudson Photography. Chelsea is an amazingly creative artist who captures timeless photographs that represent and document momentous life occasions, memorable milestones and everyday “life” moments.
I experienced first-hand the dedication, artistry and passion which Chelsea pours into her work when she took both maternity and newborn photos for our family this fall. Both photo shoots were so much fun—she makes her subjects feel immediately at ease, in large part because it’s clear she loves doing this work.
For her brand, Chelsea wanted something simple and fresh, with a cultural flair. The typeface Raniscript offered the perfect combination of these elements. I create a unique type treatment for her logo, and added an ornament for some additional “flair.” The modern color palette we chose matches the style and color of Chelsea’s image processing.
The final logo is above. More updates to come as we continue to develop her brand and extend it to other products and applications!
